As an international multimedia journalist based in New York, I cover a wide range of stories and love interviewing people from all walks of life — from world leaders and CEOs, to authors, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and humans of all kinds. A few years ago, however, I began swapping some of the hard news questions for deeper explorations into philosophy, psychology, consciousness, and mysticism. Now, I also build worlds as an author.

My debut novel, Monsoon Gods, is a coming-of-age story set in 1990s India. Writing it has been the perfect excuse for daydreaming to Hans Zimmer soundtracks—first in Harlem while nursing my firstborn, then in bustling Brooklyn cafés, and now in Westchester, often at a high-ceilinged coworking space overlooking the Hudson River.

Before moving to New York, I wrote for India Today magazine in Mumbai. Since then, I’ve worked with a variety of television news outlets, including Reuters Video News, Associated Press Television, Times Now, and NDTV. My writing has been published in Solstice Literary Magazine, The Quint, Reuters, India Today, The Times of India, The American Bazaar, Khaleej Times, International Business Times, and American Kahani.

As a speaker, I’ve moderated media panels for TiEcon New York, Duke University, Brand Entrepreneurs, and the Times Network. I hold a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from New York University on a Ford Foundation scholarship and a Master’s in English Literature from Mumbai University.

I live in the New York metropolitan area, and when I’m not writing, reporting, or exploring weird and wonderful rabbit holes, I spend time with my two baseball-crazy sons, my musical husband, and our shy, super-cuddly cat.
