Author & Journalist

I used to interview world leaders, CEOs, celebrities and hundreds of ordinary citizens as a New York-based broadcast journalist. Some years ago, I put aside the tripods and mics, and swapped the questions. I now build worlds as an author. My first novel, working title - Monsoon Gods, is a coming-of-age story set in 1990s India. Writing it has been the perfect excuse for daydreaming to Hans Zimmer soundtracks, first in Harlem while nursing my first-born, then in Brooklyn cafes, and now in Westchester, very often at a high-ceilinged coworking space overlooking the Hudson river.

As a speaker, I’ve moderated several media panels including at TiEcon New York and Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. I hold a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from New York University on a Ford Foundation scholarship, and a Master’s in English Literature from Mumbai University. I live in the New York City metropolitan area, where I am currently preparing to find a publisher for Monsoon Gods, while researching my next book and raising two baseball-crazy boys, alongside a shy and super-cuddly cat.
